Stuff the Bus - Happening Now!
STILLWATER, Minn. -- July 22, 2024 -- Through the United Way of Washington County-East and Community Thread, the annual Stuff the Bus campaign is back.
Beginning July 22 through Aug. 5, Stillwater Area Public Schools families in need of school supplies can register to receive a backpack and be prepared for the 2024-25 school year. Giving students the tools they need to succeed, families can then select a time to pick up supplies between Aug. 14-16 at Community Thread.
Donations for Stuff the bus are also welcomed, with the most needed supplies being three-ring binders, black Expo dry erase markers, and Crayola markers. Donations can be dropped off at different sites throughout the district now through Aug. 5. Helping to make sure these students are ready for the year, volunteers are needed from Aug. 7-13 to sort supplies and assemble backpacks at Community Thread.
For information on grade-specific school supplies that are needed and see a map of the local collection sites, visit www.uwwce.org/stuff-the-bus. To volunteer or for more information, contact Erin McQuay at erin.mcquay@uwwce.org.
